According to its mission statement, the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) is an association that actively promotes effective teaching approaches and related clinical educational intervention strategies for dyslexics. It supports and encourages interdisciplinary research. It facilitates the exploration of the causes and early identification of dyslexia and is committed to the responsible and wide dissemination of research-based knowledge.

Additional resources include support from the Special Education Program to support the Compliance and Improvement Monitoring process and protocol.

Partnerships for Effective Practices in Transition and Inclusion
California’s State Personnel Development Grant, Partnerships for Effective Practices in Transition, and Inclusion (PEPTI) is a collaboration between the CDE Special Education and Early Childhood Divisions and the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). The PEPTI is a five year project with the mission of reforming California systems for personnel development in early intervention, early education, and Part C to Part B transition services.

Coordination via an interagency agreement between the lead Part C agency DDS and CDE to support early intervention services for infants and toddlers through California Early Start program.

Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Transition Partnership Programs (TPP), We-Can-Work (WCW) and Workabiltiy II (WAII) Programs External link opens in new window or tab.
The DOR and CDE work collaboratively to increase the vocational and career opportunities for secondary students with disabilities that will allow for successful transitions into the world of work and postsecondary education. The interagency agreement allows for increased partnership across agencies to ensure systems alignment at the local level through technical assistance and information sharing.
