Developing, Aligning, and Improving Systems of Academic and Behavioral Supports

Funding Description

The purpose of the Improving Systems of Academic and Behavioral Supports (ISABS) is to enable one county office of education (COE), or two COEs applying jointly, to develop and disseminate statewide resources and technical assistance that encourage local education agencies to establish and align schoolwide, data-driven systems of academic and behavioral supports to meet the needs of California's diverse learners.

Allocation Formula The entire grant is awarded to the fiscal agent of the successful applicant or of the successful joint applicants. The budget section of the successful application will clearly describe how funding for demonstration sub-agreements will be allocated to local education agencies and charter schools for the purpose of identifying, evaluating, learning about, or testing the feasibility of effective approaches, as described in Part D, numbers 1–5, of the RFA Overview.
