Funding Description

The California Migrant Education Family Biliteracy Program (MEFBP) is a statewide school-based family biliteracy education model. It promotes biliteracy by building upon the linguistic assets migrant families possess to model literacy strategies that families may replicate at home in the absence of a teacher and providing high quality instruction for children ages 3-5.

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria Only established Regional or District Migrant Education offices funded through the California Department of Education are eligible to receive funding. Funds will go to 10 Migrant Education Regional or District Offices.
