Subject: California Career Technical Education (CTE) Initiatives: Update on the Career Technical Education Incentive Grant (CTEIG) and the K–12 Strong Workforce Program (K–12 SWP) Metrics.

Type of Action: Action, Information

Recommendation: Staff from the California Department of Education (CDE) and California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO) recommend that the California Workforce Pathways Joint Advisory Committee (CWPJAC) receive an update and provide feedback on student outcome metrics for the CTEIG and the K–12 SWP, as deemed necessary.

Action: No Action Taken.

Subject: Update on the development of the California State Career Technical Education Plan, Including requirements for the federal Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21^st Century Act (Perkins V).

Type of Action: Information

Recommendation: Staff from the CDE and the CCCCO recommends that the California Workforce Pathways Joint Advisory Committee (CWPJAC) review and provide input on planned activities to guide the development of a new State Plan for Career Technical Education.

Action: No Action Taken.
