File Structure: Staff School FTE

This table contains the structure for the staff school FTE record. This file contains job classification and FTE data for each teacher at a school. There is one record for every staff member and job classification in a school or school district.

Academic year for the data. This data is collected on the first Wednesday in October. For example '1415' would indicate that the Academic school year is 2014–2015 and the data was collected in October 2014.

RecID Character

This code is a randomly generated number assigned to each staff. The code assigned for one year may not be the same code assigned to the same staff member for another year. Therefore, the code cannot be used to match records over time.
DistrictCode Character

This 7-digit code is the official, unique identification of a school district or county office within California. The first two digits identify the county and the next five digits identify the school district.
SchoolCode Character

This 7-digit code is the official, unique identification of a school within California.

JobClassification Character
1

A coded value representing the Educational Service Job Classification. An Educational Service Job Classification is the classification of a specific occupation of an individual, such as teacher, administrator, and pupil services.

  • 10 = Administrator
  • 11 = Pupil services
  • 12 = Teacher
  • 25 = Non-certificated Administrator
  • 26 = Charter School Non-certificated Teacher
  • 27 = Itinerant or Pull-Out/Push-In Teacher
StaffType Character
1

This code indicates the type of staff assignment in the record. The field is coded as follows:

  • A = Administrator
  • P = Pupil services
  • T = Teacher
FTE
Numeric

Full-time equivalent (FTE) teaching duties. A value of 100 represents one full time equivalent. A value of 50 represents one half FTE.
