California Basic Educational Data System (CBEDS) Information Day

This notice is to remind California Basic Educational Data System (CBEDS) coordinators that Information Day is today, October 2. Information Day marks the beginning of the annual CBEDS data collection. All local educational agencies (LEAs) are required to submit CBEDS data to the California Department of Education (CDE) on or before October 31, 2024. For those districts participating in the District of Choice program, District of Choice Supplemental data are due to the CDE on or before October 15, 2024.

CBEDS Resources

All resources necessary to complete your CBEDS submission, including CBEDS training, the Administrative Manual, frequently asked questions, and correspondence are available on the CDE CBEDS web page at http://www.cde.ca.gov/ds/dc/cb/.

CBEDS Online Reporting Application

The application used by LEAs to submit CBEDS data to the CDE, the CBEDS Online Reporting Application (ORA), is available from the CDE CBEDS-ORA logon website at http://www3.cde.ca.gov/opuscbeds/login.aspx. Access to CBEDS-ORA requires a unique user name and password for access. If you do not know your username or password, please use the “Retrieve Username/Password” feature on the CBEDS-ORA logon page to retrieve your information.
