Funding Description

Funding is provided to the Southern California Regional Occupational Center to assist in the transition to a fully fee-supported funding model as the local control funding formula reaches full implementation.

Required Eligibility Criteria As a condition of receiving funds, the Southern California Regional Occupational Center shall submit an operational plan to the Department of Finance and the Legislative Analyst’s Office by September 1, 2017, and annual updates to that plan by September 1 of each of the next three fiscal years consistent with the proposed schedule for funding. The operational plan shall include criteria established in Section 76(b) of Assembly Bill (AB) 99 (Chapter 15, Statutes of 2017).

Allocation Formula Funding is allocated to the Southern California Regional Occupational Center for instructional and operating costs in the 2017–18 fiscal year. It is the intent of the Legislature to allocate additional resources to the Southern California Regional Occupational Center in the 2018–19, 2019–20 and 2020–21 fiscal years.
