Dear Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools:

Apportionment for Specialized Secondary Programs
Operated in Conjunction with the
California State University
Fiscal Year 2024–25

This apportionment, in the amount of $1,500,000, is made from funds appropriated in Provision 1 of Item 6100-122-0001 of the Budget Act of 2024 (Chapter 22, Statutes of 2024) in support of the Los Angeles County Office of Education’s High School for the Arts and Long Beach Unified School District’s California Academy of Mathematics and Science. These schools operate exemplary specialized secondary education programs in technology and the visual and performing arts in conjunction with the California State University, and in accordance with the provisions of California Education Code sections 58801.6 and 58804.2.

A warrant will be mailed to the Los Angeles County Treasurer approximately four weeks from the date of this letter. For standardized account code structure coding, use Resource Code 7370, Supplementary Programs: Specialized Secondary, and Revenue Object Code 8590, All Other State Revenue. The Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools was notified of this apportionment by email, which was sent to its CDEfisc email address. The notification included a link to this letter and the apportionment schedule, which are posted on the California Department of Education’s web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/fg/aa/ca/specsecondary.asp.
