 Dear County Superintendents of Schools:

Second Apportionment for Title IV, Part A
Supporting Effective Instruction
Every Student Succeeds Act
Fiscal Year 2020–21

This apportionment, in the amount of $10,577,043, is made from federal funds provided to the state under Title IV, Part A, Subpart 1, Student Support and Academic Enrichment, of 1965 (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) (Public Law 114–95). Title IV, Part A, Subpart 1 funds are apportioned to eligible local educational agencies (LEAs) to increase the capacity to meet the goals of the ESEA by providing all students with access to well-rounded education, improving school conditions for student learning, and improving use of technology in order to improve the academic and digital literacy of all students. Warrants will be mailed to each county treasurer approximately three weeks from the date of this Notice.

Information about the program, allocation, and apportionments, grant award identification, applicable federal rules and regulations, and the grant award period are posted on the CDE https://www.cde.ca.gov/fg/fo/r14/titleivpa20result.asp web page.

County superintendents were notified of this apportionment by email sent to their CDEfisc email addresses. The CDE requested that the email be forwarded to all school districts and charter schools in the county, and included the links to this letter and the accompanying apportionment schedule posted on the CDE https://www.cde.ca.gov/fg/aa/ca/ web page.
