Dear Kern County Superintendent of Schools:

Second Apportionment for the
Standardized Account Code Structure
System Replacement Project
Fiscal Year 2016–17

This apportionment, in the amount of $903,929 is made to the Kern County Superintendent of Schools (KCSOS) from funds provided in Section 44 of Senate Bill 828 (Chapter 29, Statutes of 2016). These funds are apportioned to KCSOS, the county office of education selected by the California Department of Education (CDE), for the Standardized Account Code Structure (SACS) System Replacement Project.

Quarterly payment amounts are established in the August 2018 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the SACS System Replacement Project as approved by the California Department of Finance and the California Joint Legislative Budget Committee. The amount paid in this apportionment reflects the fourth quarter payment.

These funds shall be used by KCSOS, together with its subsidiaries, the Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team and the California School Information Services, in accordance with the August 2018 MOU.

The KCSOS was notified of this apportionment by email, which was sent to its CDEfisc email address. The notification included a link to this letter and the apportionment schedule which are posted on the CDE SACS System Replacement Project web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/fg/aa/ca/sacsreplacement.asp.

A warrant will be mailed to the Kern County Treasurer approximately four weeks from the date of this Notice. For SACS coding, use Resource Code 7810, Other Restricted State, and Revenue Object Code 8590, All Other State Revenue.
