Update to the "Child Receives Part-Day Care" Information Field
Commencing with the January 2024 CDD-801A Monthly Child Care Population Report, the Child Development Management Information System (CDMIS) will be updating the “Child Receives Part-Day Care” field to be the “Services Type and Length” field. Additionally, data collected in this field will be updated from only collecting Yes or No responses for whether a child receives part-day care, to also include information on whether the child is enrolled in direct services or subcontracted services. The available options for the Services Type and Length field will include:
- A: Direct Services Full-Day
- B: Direct Services Part-Day
- C: Subcontracted/Voucher/FCCHEN Services Full-Day
- D: Subcontracted/Voucher/FCCHEN Services Part-Day
For example, if a child is enrolled with a subcontractor within the main agency/contractor for part-day services, the Services Type and Length field selection would be D: Subcontracted/Voucher/FCCHEN Services Part-Day. In situations where a child has received services from multiple service types (direct services and subcontracted services), please designate the child to the service type in which they spent the majority of their time during that specific report period.
Frequently Asked Questions
-

No. Contractors are not responsible for editing/resubmitting their 801A reports from December 2023 and prior.
-
Will we be able to copy forward our CDD-801A data from December 2023 to January 2024?
Unfortunately, you will not be able to copy forward from December 2023 to January 2024 due to the data field change. However, you will be able to use copy forward from January to February and thereafter.
-
Should children who are enrolled in a Family Child Care Home (FCCH) setting type be designated to "Direct Services" or "Subcontracted Services."
If the child is enrolled in a FCCH setting type, then they must select either C: Subcontracted/Voucher/FCCHEN Services Full-Day or D: Subcontracted/Voucher/FCCHEN Services Part-Day. Please note that this rule applies to both California Department of Education (CDE) and California Department of Social Services (CDSS) contract types.
