Purpose

The purpose of this public meeting is for a panel of experts, practitioners, and community stakeholders to provide recommendations to the State Superintendent of Public Instruction. In consultation with the State Board of Education,a resource guide will be published to inform policy regarding English learner (EL) education. This guide will be timely in that it will assist local educational agencies implement California’s 21st Century college- and career-ready standards, curriculum, instructional programs, and assessments.
