Any school with a CSI Low – Graduation Rate assistance status and a school-wide three-year average graduation rate falling at or above 68 percent will be eligible to exit the CSI – Graduation Rate category.
How is the school-wide three-year average graduation rate used to determine CSI – Graduation Rate exits calculated?
The formula to calculate the school-wide three-year average graduation rate is as follows:
Number of graduates in the 2020–21 graduation cohort + Number of graduates in the 2019–20 graduation cohort + Number of graduates in the 2018–19 graduation cohort
Divided by
Number of students in the 2020–21 graduation cohort + Number of students in the 2019–20 graduation cohort + Number of students in the 2018–19 graduation cohort
Multiplied by 100
The school-wide three-year average graduation rate is rounded to the nearest tenth (i.e., one decimal place).
Note, the graduation counts used for this calculation should not be confused with graduation counts available on DataQuest. Graduation counts used for this calculation are defined in a manner consistent with the reporting of graduates on the Dashboard. For non-Dashboard Alternative School Status (DASS) schools, graduates are students that graduate in four and five years combined. For DASS schools, graduates are twelfth grade students who are eligible to graduate in a single year and eleventh grade graduates.
