1. Full Instructional Quality Commission (IQC) and Facilitators

   1. Call to Order:  1:20 p.m. by Commission Chair Honig

   2. Planning for the 2014 Mathematics Adoption Training of Instructional Materials Reviewers and Content Review Experts (Information)

      Mathematics Subject Matter Committee Co-Chair welcomed commissioners and former commissioner Bama Medley to the planning meeting for the 2014 Mathematics Adoption Training of Instructional Materials Reviewers (IMR) and Content Review Experts (CRE). She reported that this adoption is the first adoption that will be fully aligned to the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.

      The California Department of Education (CDE) staff walked the commissioners through the training process; specifically the role the commissioners would be as facilitators during the training session this week and the deliberations session in September.
