Public Comment
Public Comment Guidelines
Public comment may be made in person, via phone, or via email.
In Person
Public comment may be provided in person at the ACCS meeting. However, capacity may be limited in order to allow for physical distancing. Individuals who wish to provide either general public comment or public comment on a specific agenda item must sign up on the public comment roster prior to the general public comment period or the agenda item being heard. Individuals will line up in queue to provide public comment when the moderator calls their name. Public comment is limited to one minute.
Phone
Public comment may also be provided by dialing the phone number and participant access code, and following the operator’s prompts. Upon dialing in, callers will be added to a caller queue. The operator will notify callers when it is their turn to provide public comment. Public comment will be limited to one minute. Members of the public wishing to dial in for public comment should view the livestream of the meeting. The number and access code will be provided at the start of public comment for each item.
- Prior to making public comment, callers who are watching the meeting via live webcast should make sure the volume on their computer is muted to avoid an echoing or feedback sounds during the call.
- Each caller will be allotted one minute of public comment for each agenda item.
- When the host unmutes the caller to provide public comment:
- The caller will hear a voice announcement telling them that they are unmuted.
- The host will announce to the caller when their time is up.

The public may submit written comment to the ACCS in advance of the meeting for consideration. In order to help ensure that commissioners have time to review the comments, comments should be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023. Comments received after that time will be forwarded to commissioners until 5 p.m. on Monday, June 12; however, only comments received by the June 9 deadline will be posted to the ACCS agenda prior to the meeting. Comments should be submitted to the ACCS via email to charters@cde.ca.gov.

- General public comment or agenda item number
