MATHEMATICS CFCC MEETING LOGISTICS

On March 17, 2020, Governor Gavin Newsom issued Executive Order N-29-20 related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Executive Order allows state bodies covered by the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act (Act) to hold public meetings covered by the Act via web and/or audio teleconferencing. As such, the October Mathematics CFCC meeting will be held as an audio/video teleconference and will have a live webcast. Following are options to access the meeting.

If you desire to give public comment, do so using the number below during the specified time.

Once the host places the call for “Q & A” (public comment):
Participants hear the voice prompt: “The Q & A session has started. To ask your question, please press *6.” Participants are prompted to press 1 to confirm and be placed in the “Q&A” queue. The host can click a participant name or caller number to allow the participant to make their comment.

Prior to making public comment, speakers who are watching the meeting via live webcast should make sure the volume on their computer is muted to avoid any echoing or feedback sounds during the call.

NOTE: The voice prompt is automated and uses the term “Q&A session.” However, during public comment the committee will not respond to comments or questions from the public.

PUBLIC COMMENT
  • Public comment will take place no sooner than the time stated on the agenda.
  • Members of the public who would like to make comment may do so by calling the telephone number listed above.
  • Members of the public may only sign up or request to speak themselves and may not sign up or be signed up by other speakers.
  • Speakers will be allotted a prescribed maximum amount of time, at the discretion of the Committee co-chairs, based upon the number of speakers.
  • Speakers may not provide comment on behalf of another individual or group who is not present.
  • Speakers may not allocate their allotted time to another speaker.
  • Speakers shall refrain from using profanity and shall conduct themselves in a respectful manner.
  • Written public comments may also be submitted via the MATHFRAMEWORK@cde.ca.gov mailbox. Comments received will be submitted, as received, to the Mathematics CFCC at its next meeting and will not be read aloud.

All times are approximate; the timing and order of activities may change. The Mathematics CFCC will commence, recess, and reconvene as necessary throughout the two-day meeting. The outline of activities is provided for convenience only. The actual order of business may be changed without notice by the Mathematics CFCC co-chairs to accommodate the needs of members, invited presenters, and key staff.
