Annual Aggregate Reports

    State-level aggregate child care program information is compiled annually for all child care and development programs administered by the CDE and represents an unduplicated count of the children served during the state fiscal year (July through June). This report was developed by counting children once (children may be counted twice if they received services from more than one program throughout the year) during the fiscal year.

Budget Year Reports

    Appropriations represent separate and distinct spending authorizations contained in state budget passed by the Legislature and signed into law by the Governor. Each appropriation is supported by separate budget submissions that provide varying levels of detail about planned procurements and expenditures.

These Child Care and Development funds are to administer Direct Service programs (State Preschool, General Child Care, Migrant Child Care, Alternative Payment, Alternative Payment-CalWORKs Stage 2, Alternative Payment-CalWORKs Stage 3 and Handicapped program) and Non-Direct service programs (Resource and Referral, California Child Care Initiative, Quality Improvement Funds, Local Planning Council) in California.

Child Care Annual Statewide Reports

    This is an annual series of statewide reports documenting licensed child care supply and demand in California. These reports are based on services provided during a specific month or months as indicated on each report. All of these reports were produced with data collected prior to the July 1, 2021 transition.

    State-level child care program information for all child care and development programs administered by the CDE. The list includes information on each agency's Executive Officer and Program Director, their contact information, and the agency's CDE contracts.

Resource and Referral Program Service Data Reports

  • Resource and Referral Program Service Data Report
    State-level Resource and Referral Program (R&R) Service Data is compiled annually for all child care and development programs administered by the EED pursuant to Education Code sections 8210-8214 and the California Code of Regulations, Title 5, sections 18240-18248. R&R programs are required to provide information on the availability of child care services in local communities and to collect statistical data regarding child care and development services.
