Transitional Kindergarten
Historical reports of Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program participation data for the years 2013–14 through 2022–23 disaggregated by race/ethnicity, gender, and student group.The most recent year of TK program participation data is 2022–23. Pursuant to Education Code Section 60900(a)(4)(A), beginning in 2023–24, the CDE began collecting TK as a separate grade in CALPADS, rather than as a program participation record which has now been retired. Moving forward, information about TK students is available in Enrollment Data Reports and in the Census Day Enrollment Data file.

The most recently available statewide DataQuest report of Transitional Kindergarten students enrolled on Census Day and cumulatively enrolled throughout the academic year disaggregated by race/ethnicity, gender, and student group (i.e., English learner, migrant, and socio-economically disadvantaged status). The last year of TK program participation data for this report is 2022–23.
