Please complete the below survey if you are interested in applying for an appointment by the State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Please see the List of Organizations for information on the boards, commissions, advisory committees, and associations represented by the California Department of Education.

Personnel Commission

If you are applying for an appointment to the Personnel Commission and have been nominated by your local education agency (LEA) board or labor association, please complete these steps:

• Email a cover letter, including your LEA's board minutes indicating their recommendation and the applicant's resume to Appointments@cde.ca.gov.
• Complete an online survey application (link is below)
