Data Collection Purpose

This data collection form is used to collect the fiscal year (FY) expenditures, by activity level, for Title IV, Part A and determine if there are any unspent funds. The 2019–20 Title IV, Part A Local Educational Agency (LEA) Closeout Report data collection form must be completed by all LEAs that applied for and received 2019–20 Title IV, Part A funds.

2019–20 Title IV, Part A LEA available allocation: The Title IV, Part A LEA allocation plus transferred-in amount minus the total funds transferred out of Title IV, Part A.

Note: Administrative and indirect costs and Technology Infrastructure were not part of the 2019–20 Title IV, Part A Use of Funds Report data collection, therefore those fields will initially be blank.

Total Expenditures: The sum of all expenditure amounts.

Amount of Unspent Funds: The Title IV, Part A LEA available allocation minus all expenditures.

Note: The CDE will invoice the LEA to return the unspent 2019–20 total LEA allocation.

Error Messages

Total Expenditures Amount Total expenditures cannot be greater than the 2019-20 LEA available allocation. Ensure the sum of all expenditures is not greater than the total Title IV, Part A LEA available allocation.
Administrative and Indirect Costs Administrative and indirect costs cannot exceed 15% of the LEA available allocation. Ensure that administrative and indirect costs do not exceed 15% of the Title IV, Part A LEA available allocation.
