Adult Education Block Grant Program


Funding Description

The Adult Education Block Grant Program provides adult education funding to county offices of education, school districts, and regional consortia to support Assembly Bill 86 specified programs.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants Institutions of higher education, local educational agencies, other organizations or agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria Maintenance of effort (MOE) funding is available to eligible county offices of education (COEs) and school districts based on 2012–13 General Fund expenditures on adult education programs. Remaining funds will be allocated to each consortium based on that adult education region’s share of the statewide need for adult education. All COEs and school districts must be a member of a consortium to receive funding.
