Project School Emergency Response to Violence (Project SERV)


Funding Description

The California Department of Education (CDE) received the Project School Emergency Response to Violence (Project SERV) grant from the U.S. Department of Education on behalf of local educational agencies (LEAs) and nonpublic schools impacted by the October 2017 California wildfires. Project SERV funding may be used to reimburse LEAs that applied to the CDE for some of the expenses incurred in order to quickly reopen schools.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies, nonprofit organizations
Required Eligibility Criteria These funds may be used to serve both LEAs (including charter school LEAs) and non-public schools that applied to the CDE in order to participate in the program. In general, Project SERV funds may be used for activities that help the eligible LEA or non-public school reopen and restore normal operations.
