Funding Description

The purpose of the 21st Century California School Leadership Academy (21CSLA) is to provide in-depth supports for administrators and other school leaders.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants Institutions of higher education, local educational agencies, nonprofit organizations
Required Eligibility Criteria The California Department of Education (CDE) and the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence (CCEE) invite institutions of higher education (IHEs), nonprofit organizations, and local educational agencies (LEAs) with expertise in providing professional learning, coaching, and mentoring to principals and other school leaders in public schools serving kindergarten and grades one to twelve, inclusive, to apply for a grant to organize and offer high-quality professional learning, coaching, and mentoring for central office leaders, principals, and other schools leaders, including teacher leaders involved in school improvement efforts.

Legal Authority Funding is authorized by Assembly Bill 99, Chapter 15 and Section 54. Article 5 (commencing with Section 52200) and added to Chapter 7 of Part 28 of Division 4 of Title 2 of the Education Code.
