IDEA/ARP 611 Local Assistance Entitlements


Funding Description

Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)/American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP), Part B, Section 611, Local Assistance Entitlements (IDEA/ARP 611 Local Assistance Entitlements) funds are specifically allocated for special education and services to students with disabilities ages three through twenty-one.

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria To receive funds, a local educational agency (LEA) must submit a local plan to the state educational agency that contains assurances that are consistent with federal and state laws and regulations.
Other Eligibility Considerations LEAs must account for these funds as expenditures for pupils with an individualized education program (IEP) and for the provision of the special education and related services required by students with disabilities in order to benefit from a public education.
