The Antibias Education Grant Program

Funding Description

The Antibias Education Grant Program provides funding for a grant period from Fiscal Year 2022-23 through 2025-26. Funds available to each applicant are based on the content and quality of the submitted application and proposed activities. The total grant budget for this Request for Applications (RFA) is up to twenty million dollars ($20,000,000).

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria We are accepting a second round of applications for the Antibias Education Grant Program for the purposes of preventing, addressing, and eliminating racism and bias in all California public schools and making all public schools inclusive and supportive of all people. LEAs awarded in the first round are not eligible to apply for any additional funding from this grant.
Other Eligibility Considerations This is the second round of applications. In the second round of applications a consortium of LEAs may submit an application as long as all LEAs within the consortium meet the required eligibility criteria.

Allocation Formula Allocation is based on successful grant applications at the level requested if the program application is well-justified, the proposed activities are realistic and well-supported, and sufficient funding exists. If successful applications exceed the funds available, the CDE will apportion the grant funds at its reasonable discretion.
