Supply Chain Assistance Funds


Funding Description

The Supply Chain Assistance (SCA) funding provides additional federal fund allocations to eligible school food authorities (SFA) to alleviate supply chain disruptions in the school meal programs. Funds must be used exclusively to purchase unprocessed or minimally processed domestic food products to support the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), Seamless Summer Option (SSO), or NSLP Afterschool Snack program.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants Local educational agencies
Required Eligibility Criteria SCA funds are only available to SFAs (including school districts, county offices of education, charter schools, private nonprofit schools, Residential Child Care Institutions, and tribal schools currently operating the NSLP and/or SBP. This includes SFAs currently operating NSLP Afterschool Snacks.
