ASES Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief III Summer Year 2


Funding Description

The purpose of the After School Education and Safety (ASES) Emergency and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III Summer Grant Program is to implement evidence-based summer enrichment programs, and ensure such programs respond to students' academic, social, and emotional needs and address the disproportionate impact of the corona-virus on the student populations, students experiencing homelessness, and children and youth in foster care. This is for Year Two of the Two-Year Grant.

Required Eligibility Criteria This was from the second round of applications. Schools must be an After School Education and Safety (ASES) grantee and have verifiable Free and Reduced Price Meals (FRPM) data for 2020-21 through the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS) to be considered in the funding determination.
Other Eligibility Considerations This second round of applications should propose to provide services to schools that enroll students who may be at risk for academic failure, dropping out of school, involved in criminal or delinquent activities, or who lack strong positive role models, and to serve families of such students.
