Dear Riverside County Superintendent of Schools:
Apportionment to the
Riverside County Office of Education
for Student Friendly Services and
Online Educational Resources
Fiscal Year 2019–20
This apportionment, in the amount of $6,500,000, is made to the Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) from funds provided in Item 6100-172-0001 of the Budget Act of 2019 (Chapter 23, Statutes of 2019), and equals 100 percent of the amount available. Of the funds provided, $3,500,000 is for Student Friendly Services and to be used to provide information regarding planning and preparation for postsecondary education, and services related to matriculation to postsecondary educational institutions. The remaining $3,000,000 is for Online Educational Resources and to be used at the direction of the State Librarian to make online educational resources publicly available.
Pursuant to Provision 3 of Item 6100-172-0001, the RCOE shall report to the California Department of Education (CDE), the Director of Finance, and the Legislature regarding the expenditures supported by the $3,500,000 provided for Student Friendly Services and the number and categories of students who accessed services through the program funded.
A warrant will be mailed to the Riverside County Treasurer approximately four weeks from the date of this Notice. For standardized account code structure coding for funds apportioned in Schedule 1, use Resource Code 7410, Student Friendly Services, and Revenue Object Code 8590, All Other State Revenue. For funds apportioned in Schedule 2, use Resource Code 7411, Online Educational Resources, Object Code 8590, All Other State Revenue.
The RCOE was notified of this apportionment by email, which was sent to its CDEfisc email address. The notification included a link to this letter and the apportionment schedule which are posted on the CDE web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/fg/aa/ca/studentfriendly.asp.
