Commercial Dishwasher Grant

The California State Legislature apportioned $15 million for the purchase and installation costs of energy-efficient commercial dishwashers to reduce reliance on single use food service ware. All local educational agencies (LEA) that are sponsors of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP), including school districts, county offices of education, and direct-funded charter schools, are eligible to apply for this competitive grant opportunity.

Commercial Dishwasher Definition | The California Department of Education is establishing the Energy Star Product Specification Criteria for Commercial Dishwashers, Version 3.0 as the minimum standard for energy-efficient commercial dishwashers purchased with these funds. |
Certifications and Assurances
Document | Description |

General Assurances and Certifications | Required as a condition of receiving funds. Applicants do not need to sign and return them with the application; they must be downloaded and kept on file for compliance reviews, complaint investigations, or audits. Applicants that participate in the Consolidated Application should have a copy on file and do not need another copy. Program-specific assurances are not included here and should be listed separately on the Request for Application. |
