On October 18, 2024, TreeHouse Foods recalled certain frozen waffle products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The California Department of Education Nutrition Services Division strongly recommends that food program operators take precautions to ensure these products are not served or consumed and instead are disposed of per the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Please note that per the FDA these products are not U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Foods items.

OAK BROOK, Ill., Oct. 18, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- TreeHouse Foods, Inc. (NYSE: THS) is voluntarily recalling certain frozen waffle products listed below due to the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenesis an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Listeria monocytogenes infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
