School Safety Webinar Series: Fentanyl Crisis (May 21, 2024)

Please join the California Department of Education (CDE) and me for our School Safety Webinar: Fentanyl Crisis, on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. This webinar will feature experts from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), who will share statewide data and strategies to address the fentanyl crisis that California is facing. Panelists include a credentialed California school nurse; Song for Charlie, a national, nonprofit charity dedicated to raising awareness about fentapills; and educators supporting our students and school communities.

Webinar Objectives:
  • Create awareness and share knowledge regarding the fentanyl crisis
  • Learn about the fentanyl crisis from a California school nurse perspective
  • Examine relevant data and trends related to fentanyl
  • Elevate the work through lived experiences of a parent and educators
