on December 12, 2024, 3–4 p.m. The session will focus on the tasks associated with preparing for the 2024–25 assessment administration, including:
- Understanding the Test Operations Management System
- Training plan for coordinators
- Technology planning
- Communication planning
Application Period Open for Smarter Balanced Teaching and Learning Innovation Award
The Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium is now accepting applications from local educational agencies (LEAs) for the Teaching and Learning Innovation Award. Up to $10,000 will be awarded to one LEA in California. This award aims to recognize and promote innovative practices using Smarter Balanced resources, inspire creative ideas for leveraging the Smarter Balanced assessment system, and increase awareness of the system’s capacity to enhance teaching and learning goals.
We encourage California educators to apply for this unique opportunity to share their best practices. Refer to the Teaching and Learning Innovation Awards website
for more information, including details on how to apply. An initial application form and Letter of Intent must be submitted by January 5, 2025, with the full application submitted by February 2, 2025.
