21st Century California School Leadership Academy

California Education Code Section 44690(c)(1) directs the California Department of Education (CDE) and the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence (CCEE) to select providers of high-quality professional learning for administrators and other school leaders. As part of the Statewide System of Support, these providers will ensure the availability of professional learning through the 21CSLA, free of charge, to local educational agencies that receive federal Title II funds on a statewide basis.

21CSLA Grantees

21CSLA State Center: The University of California (UC) Berkeley, Graduate School of Education in partnership with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), School of Education, UCLA Center X, the California Subject Matter Projects, and the seven 21CSLA Regional Academies provides resources, professional learning events, and archived events generated by the 21CSLA State Center. Alameda Regional Academy: The UC Berkeley Graduate School of Education provides professional learning opportunities to educational leaders in Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Solano counties. More information is available at Alameda Regional Academy .

Kern Regional Academy: The Los Angeles County Office of Education provides coaching, mentoring, and supports to educational leaders in Fresno, Kern, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties. More information is available at Kern Regional Academy .

Placer and Sacramento Regional Academy: The Sacramento County Office of Education provides professional learning opportunities to support leadership development to Sierra, Nevada, Placer, El Dorado, Amador, Alpine, Calaveras, Tuolumne, Yuba, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sutter, Colusa, and Yolo counties. Riverside and San Diego Regional Academy: The Los Angeles Education Partnership offers professional learning experiences to leadership teams in San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, San Diego, and Imperial counties. More information is available at Riverside and San Diego Regional Academy .

Sonoma Regional Academy: The Sonoma County Office of Education provides high-quality expanded professional development opportunities to Sonoma, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, and Napa counties. More information is available at Sonoma Regional Academy .

Shasta Regional Academy: Chico State Enterprises provides high-quality professional learning and support to school and teacher leaders in Del Norte, Siskiyou, Modoc, Humboldt, Trinity, Shasta, Lassen, Tehama, Plumas, Glenn, and Butte counties. Tulare Regional Academy: The Madera County Superintendent of Schools supports educational leaders in Stanislaus, Mariposa, Mono, Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Benito, Merced, Madera, Kings, Tulare, and Inyo counties. More information is available at Tulare Regional Academy .
