Equality California Institute
One-time funding for Equality California Institute Safe and Supportive Schools. This work will include, but will not be limited to:
- Engaging unified school districts across California, using their Report Card responses to identify and address policy gaps and chart a course for improvement at the district level.
- Assisting school districts to holistically implement other best practices which help to create inclusive atmospheres for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and queer (LGBTQ+) students and connecting districts to local resources and trainings.
- Conducting outreach and education in communities across California to build cross-community cohesion and understanding and build awareness of policies designed to protect LGBTQ+ and all youth.
