The California Department of Education (CDE) is currently accepting applications for Child Nutrition Advisory Council (CNAC).
The mission of the CNAC is to advise the CDE in areas of health, wellness, and nutrition for all students in California’s pre-kindergarten through grade twelve public schools.

Term of Office: Each CNAC position is a three-year term, January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028, with the exception of the student member, who serves a one-year term, from September 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.

Meeting Schedule: The CNAC typically convenes in-person in Sacramento for one full day, three times per year. Members receive travel reimbursement at the state travel reimbursement rates to support their presence and participation.
Application Submission Process: Email applications to the CNAC team at CNAC@cde.ca.gov; hard copy applications are not accepted.
