Allocation Cancellation, Return, & Restocking Fee

States the policy on canceling, returning, or having an order restocked.

Please note that the State Distribution Centers will now charge a restocking fee if the recipient agency cancels their U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Foods order after the order has been staged in the warehouse for delivery. This restocking fee will be 50 percent of the original shipping and handling charges. If the recipient agency cancels their USDA Foods order after the order has been placed on the truck for delivery, the restocking fee will be equal to the full shipping and handling charges on that order.

To avoid the above restocking fees, please use the delivery restrictions field at the bottom of your Child Nutrition and Information Payment System order form to indicate which dates your agency will be closed or cannot accept a delivery. If your agency encounters an unforeseen emergency, contact the Food Distribution Program at 916-324-0162 for the Sacramento Warehouse and 909-596-7777 for the Pomona Warehouse as soon as possible to make alternate arrangements for your delivery.
