Background

Pursuant to California Education Code (EC) Section 47607.2, the California State Board of Education (SBE) approved the criteria to define verified data, and the list of valid and reliable assessments and measures of postsecondary outcomes.

A summary of the information considered by the SBE in their adoption of the academic progress and postsecondary indicators are provided below:

The California Department of Education (CDE), in partnership with WestEd, hosted a webinar on Assembly Bill 1505 Verified Data Technical Assistance for charter school administrators and charter school authorizers via Zoom. This webinar provided an overview of the SBE-adopted criteria to define verified data and of the list of valid and reliable assessments and measures of postsecondary outcomes as required by EC Section 47607.2.
