Dear Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools:
Apportionment for Specialized Secondary Programs
Operated in Conjunction with the
California State University
Fiscal Year 2021–22
This apportionment, in the amount of $1,500,000, is made from funds appropriated in Provision 1 of Item 6100-122-0001 of Budget Act of 2021 (Chapter 21, Statutes of 2021) in support of the Los Angeles County Office of Education High School for the Arts, and Long Beach Unified School District’s California Academy of Mathematics and Science. These schools operate exemplary specialized secondary education programs in technology and the visual and performing arts in conjunction with the California State University and in accordance with the provisions of California Education Code sections 58801.6 and 58804.2.
A warrant will be mailed to the Los Angeles County Treasurer approximately four weeks from the date of this Notice. For standardized account code structure coding, use Resource Code 7370, Supplementary Programs: Specialized Secondary, and Revenue Object Code 8590, All Other State Revenue. The Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools was notified of this apportionment by email which was sent to its CDEfisc email address. The California Department of Education (CDE) requested that the email be forwarded to the affected local educational agencies, and included a link to the CDE Categorical Programs web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/fg/aa/ca/ where, under the program name, the letter and schedule for this apportionment are posted.
