Policy Recommendations: Recommendation 8: Provide Outreach, Education, and Guidance to School, District, and County Office of Education Leaders and Staff, County Behavioral/Mental Health Departments, and State Government Partners to Address Anxiety, Hate Incidents, and Bullying Experienced by Immigrant Communities Recommendation 9: Improve the Ratios of Pupil Personnel Support Services to Students in California School Districts and Expand the Capacity of the California Department of Education to Provide Technical Assistance to Pupil Personnel Support. Recommendation 10: Advocate for Legislation to Require Schools, Districts, and County Offices of Education Staff to Utilize a Uniform Evidence-based Suicide Risk Assessment, Receive Formal Training to Conduct Suicide Risk Assessments, and Collect and Report Relevant Data at the Local, County, and State Levels |
