Visiting Educator Program - A unique employment exchange program. Visiting Education Program participants are employees of qualifying governmental jurisdictions (e.g. local school districts, county offices of education, public and private universities).
Each job announcement provides information on duties, how to apply for the position, and a contact person for further information. Applicants should take particular note of any credential or higher education degree that is required for the position. Such requirements generally apply to professional education positions.
Interested applicants should carefully review each job announcement for restrictions on eligibility. Some positions may have further restrictions, especially if there are budgetary constraints or labor contract restrictions. Individuals who are not eligible to apply must establish eligibility, usually by participating successfully in an open examination, or by obtaining employment with an employer eligible and willing to participate in the Visiting Educator program. Without such eligibility, an application must be rejected.
