  • Call to Order: Welcome and Introductions; Approval of Minutes
8:45–9:45 a.m.
  • CDE Update: CDE staff will discuss recent developments within the Special Education Division.
9:45–9:50 a.m.
  • Public Comment: General public comment is invited on any matter, including items not on the agenda. Issues raised by the public may be referred to a future meeting agenda. Chair reserves the right to establish time limits on presentations.
9:50–10:25 a.m.
  • Project Status Updates: WAI Advisory and CDE staff will report on the status of initiatives and workgroups launched in the 2019–20 school year. New initiatives and workgroups may be proposed for the 2020–21 school year.
10:25–10:45 a.m.
  • Break

10:45–11:15 a.m.

  • WAI Regional Institutes: WAI Advisory and CDE staff will discuss updates and next steps regarding the upcoming WAI Collaborative Institutes.
11:15–11:45 a.m.
  • Work-Placement Options: WAI Advisory and CDE staff will discuss options and opportunities for work experience placements during the COVID-19 shutdowns.
11:45 a.m.–Noon
  • Recognition of Advisory Members: CDE staff will recognize accomplishments of WAI Advisory Members.
Noon–12:20 p.m.
  • Committee Feedback / Open Floor: WAI Advisory will provide and discuss committee updates.
12:20–12:25 p.m.
  • Public Comment
