CSEY Application Documentation Instructions

This web page contains information about the requirements for the Documentation component that must be completed and uploaded into the Classified School Employees of the Year (CSEY) Application.

Documentation Format

The Documentation must be uploaded into the 2024 CSEY Application as one complete file in Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat.

The Documentation is limited to eight pages, formatted as follows:

• 1-inch margins
• Arial size 12-point font
• Single-spaced

The Documentation should be named as follows: County Name, District Name, Nominee First Name and Last Name, followed by Occupational Specialty. (Do not include the words "school district" or "county.") For example: San Diego Poway Unified Jane Smith Transportation Services.

The Documentation should include page breaks so that each component has its own page. For each component, include the name of the component followed by the required information. Each component has its own word or page maximum. The name of the component will not count towards the requirement word count.

Documentation Components

The Documentation must include the following components:

Cover Page

Requirement: Include a Cover Page. The Cover Page should include the nominee:

• First Name and Last Name
• Occupational Specialty
• Current Job Title, Number of years in current position
• School/District/County Name Where the Nominee is Employed

Demonstrations of Excellence - Work Performance

Requirement: Include a detailed description and specific examples of how the nominee demonstrates excellence in work performance. (Not to exceed 250 words.)

Demonstrations of Excellence - School and Community Involvement

Requirement: Include a detailed description and specific examples of how the nominee demonstrates excellence in school and community involvement. (Not to exceed 250 words.)

Demonstrations of Excellence - Leadership and Commitment

Requirement: Include a detailed description and specific examples of how the nominee demonstrates excellence in leadership and commitment. (Not to exceed 250 words.)

Demonstrations of Excellence - Local Support

Requirement: Include a detailed description of how the nominee demonstrates excellence in local support (enthusiastic testimony from co-workers, school administrators, community members, etc., who speak to the nominee's exemplary work). (Not to exceed 250 words.)

Demonstrations of Excellence - Any Other Areas

Video Requirement: Please submit a video using specific examples why your nominee should be selected as a 2024 Classified School Employee of the Year. (Video should not exceed two minutes).

All county coordinators may submit the nominee's videos online at the 2024 CSEY Video Submissions.

Naming Convention for application and videos

Please use the following naming convention for each nominee: County Name, District Name, Nominee First Name and Last Name, followed by Occupational Specialty. For example: San Diego Poway Unified Jane Smith Transportation Services.

Headshot

Requirement: Include two professional headshots. The headshots should be in:

• Color
• 300 ppi, jpeg format
