Honors at Graduation

The California Department of Education (CDE) has prepared Honors at Graduation certificates for you to present to seniors who will be given special recognition at your commencement ceremony. Your school or district is responsible for developing its own criteria to identify recipients of this honor. Possible candidates might include students with high grade point averages, outstanding leadership skills, or dedication to community service.
Each of your graduates represents another educated citizen who is ready to assume a responsible position in our democratic society. State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond and CDE staff offer congratulations to all your graduates and send our very best wishes for their future.
