End-of-Year Deadline Extension
The End-of-Year (EOY) certification deadline has been extended to September 9, 2022.
All LEAs should be working to fix their known errors, as the September 9, 2022 deadline will be the final deadline. Certification of EOY data is required by the deadline in order for the CDE to develop California School Dashboard accountability metrics by statutory deadlines.
Status of Remaining Defects
Fixes for the following remaining defects will be included in today’s (August 16, 2022) release:
- EOY 1: CRSC0123
- EOY 2: SPRG0070, for certain scenarios
- EOY 3: SCSC0512, CERT154, SINF0453
- EOY 4: SPED0432, SPED0521, SSRV0488
Following today’s release, there should be no more defects impacting EOY 1.
Fixes for the all remaining defects impacting EOY submissions that are not included in today’s release, will be included in the August 23 release:
- EOY 2: SPRG0070, for remaining data scenarios
- EOY 3: SINF0452, CERT 112
Any LEAs still receiving SPRG0254 should work to resolve those errors as they appear to be legitimate. If LEAs encounter validations that they are unable to resolve a service ticket is requested so support can assist in a resolution.
*NOTE: Based on our analysis, the vast majority of the current issues on the Known Issues list, do not impact the submission and therefore it is not critical for those defects to be resolved prior to the close of the EOY submission window.
LEAs Should Upload 2022-23 Enrollments
There is nothing preventing LEAs from uploading enrollments for the 2022−23 school year. Therefore, LEAs should be uploading 2022−23 enrollments, especially for new students whose English Language Acquisition Status (ELAS) is “to be determined” (TBD). It is important that the enrollments for these students are uploaded to CALPADS in order for them to be assessed with the Initial English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) within 30 days of their enrollments, as required by law. Be aware the system will trigger data discrepancies for any new Statewide Student Identifiers (SSIDs) that do not have a Student English Language Acquisition (SELA) record submitted.
