First Group of Certification Data Discrepancies Enabled Tuesday, November 1

As described in Flash 241, all Certification Data Discrepancies (CDDs) related to data submitted through the following three files will be enabled on Tuesday, November 1, 2022:

• Student Enrollment (SENR)
• Student Program (SPRG)
• Student Information (SINF)

There is a total of 12 CDDs related to these three files. There are no CDDs on data submitted through the Student English Acquisition (SELA) file. We've identified two known issues: SENR0439F1 and SPRG0550F1 are triggering on enrollment records from the prior year. These CDDs are being adjusted to only look at enrollments in the current year and are scheduled to be fixed as part of the November 8 release. Until the release, please ignore these validations if triggering on prior years.

Status of Remaining CDDs

The remaining CDDs related to data submitted through the Special Education (SPED) and Student Services (SSRV) files are currently scheduled to be enabled on November 8, 2022. When these remaining CDDs are implemented, the approval button will be enabled the following day, November 9th after revisions refresh. LEAs can begin approving their Fall 1 submission once all fatal Certification Validation Rules (CVRs) and CDDs have been resolved and LEAs’ anomaly percentage is two percent or less.

Error List Updated with Fall 1 CDDs in Certification Tab

The fall CDDs are tailored specifically to trigger on Fall 1 data. They continue to be identified by the Input Validation Rule (IVR) number that existed in the legacy system with “F1” appended at the end to indicate they have been tailored for Fall 1. Additionally, in Error List V14.1, all Fall 1 CDDs can be found under its respective certification tab (e.g., “Fall 1 Certification” tab instead of the file submission tab). For example, “SENR0026” is removed from the SENR tab and re-labeled as “SENR0026F1” under the Fall 1 Certification tab.
