Dear Migrant Education Program Directors and Assistant Superintendents:

Migrant Education Program 2024–25 Grant Application

The California Department of Education (CDE) is pleased to announce the Migrant Education Program (MEP) Grant Application for fiscal year 2024–25. You can find information about the application on the CDE Migrant Program web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/fg/fo/r28/migrant24rfa.asp.

The purpose of the application is to obtain a comprehensive description of proposed supplementary MEP services and programs to migratory children and families. Funds are determined using approved CDE funding factors.

The CDE is responsible for ensuring MEP funds are awarded to local educational agencies (LEAs) and are used by LEAs in accordance with all applicable statutory requirements.

The Direct-Funded District Application should be submitted to the CDE no later than April 5, 2024, and the Regional Applications should be submitted no later than May 3, 2024.
