New York Life Foundation Grant Opportunity due January 24, 2020
Afterschool Alliance invites out-of-school time programs to apply for a competitive grant opportunity to support and bolster the ability of afterschool and summer learning programs to help their middle school students make a successful transition from eighth grade to ninth grade. This competitive grant program includes both one- and two-year grant opportunities. Applicants can only apply for one of these grants. One-year grants will begin in May 2020 and end in May 2021. Two-year grants will begin in May 2020 and end in May 2022. To learn more, access the Request for Proposals (PDF).
North American Association for Environmental Education Grant Opportunity due February 6, 2020
Through the Watershed STEM Education Partnership grant program , the North American Association for Environmental Education is supporting the mutual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education goals of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the U.S. Department of Education. These grants will provide 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) with access to authentic STEM experiences that use NOAA's unique education mission as a context for engagement. Federal Program Monitoring Tips Sheet
The Policy Committee of the Expanded Learning Division completed an in-depth analysis of the top Federal Program Monitoring findings. From there, they created a tip sheet to review the findings and provide resources. To learn more, access the Tips Sheet.
Jr. NBA Free Curriculum
The program's free curriculum, created in partnership with the Women's Sports Foundation, aims to inspire the next generation of girls, ages seven to fourteen, to play basketball by pairing on-court training with off-court life skills lessons. The curriculum helps build girls' confidence, prepare them for the challenges of adolescence and teach values like teamwork. To learn more, access the Jr. NBA Curriculum .

- Join over 2,000 members of our community at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center for four days of networking, learning and inspiration: special events, 200 plus educational sessions, daily keynotes and an interactive Learning Expo all designed to meet the needs of the developing professionals and emerging and current leaders of afterschool. Come to the National AfterSchool Association Convention 2020 and Afterschool for All Challenge and leave saying, "I've found my people!".
