Program Self-Evaluations

Information, forms, and instructions for California State Preschool Program (CSPP) contractors completing the Fiscal Year 2024–25 Program Self-Evaluation.

Due: June 2, 2025

California State Preschool Program (CSPP) contractors are required to analyze findings from the self-evaluation and develop both a written list of tasks to modify the program for all areas needing improvement and procedures for ongoing monitoring to assure that areas that are satisfactory continue to meet standards.

For Fiscal Year (FY) 2024–25, all CSPP contractors will use the California Department of Education (CDE), Early Education Division’s (EED) Program Instrument (PI) to conduct the FY 2024–25 Program Self-Evaluation (PSE) and are required to complete a survey to satisfy the submission requirements for the PSE. The survey will identify how programs met or did not meet the contract terms and conditions of the CSPP contract.

Please have one (1) staff member submit this survey, on behalf of your CSPP agency, no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025. To complete this survey, responses to all questions are required unless stated otherwise. For any questions regarding this survey, please reach out to PSEFY2425@cde.ca.gov.

Program Questions: If you have any questions regarding the information for the PSE, please contact your assigned Early Education Division (EED) Program Quality Implementation Office Regional Consultant at CDE Consultant Regional Assignments or by phone at 916-322-6233.
