  • Call to Order: Welcome and Introductions; Approval of Minutes.
9:00–10:00 a.m.
  • Item 1–CDE Update: CDE staff will discuss the role of the WAI Advisory Committee and recent developments within the SED.
10:00–10:05 a.m.
  • Item 2–Public Comment: General public comment is invited on any matter, including items not on the agenda. Issues raised by the public may be referred to a future meeting agenda. Chair reserves the right to establish time limits on presentations.
10:05–10:20 a.m.
  • Item 3–Student Voice: WAI Advisory will discuss options to include student voice in Advisory meetings.
10:20–10:50 a.m.
  • Item 4–Reconnecting with Community Partners: WAI will explore ways to aid grantees with establishing/re-establishing community partnerships and work exploration opportunities for students.
10:50–11:05 a.m.
  • Break
11:05–11:15 a.m.
  • Item 5–Executive Committee Election: WAI Advisory will elect members to serve on the WAI Advisory Executive Committee.
11:15–11:25 a.m.
  • Item 6–Bridge to the Future: Advisory will discuss WAI’s role in the Bridge to the Future Institute.
11:25–11:55 a.m.
  • Item 7–Sexual Harassment Prevention Training: Look at sexual harassment prevention training options for student employees to meet the new legal requirements.
11:55 a.m.–12:20 p.m.
  • Item 8–Committee Responsibilities: WAI will discuss committee & workgroup products, activities, and how committees will support Advisory goals. Committee and Region updates.
12:20–12:30 p.m.
